PARK IMPROVEMENTS

Your PKA HOA Board and volunteers have been working all winter to improve our parks. Each park has received some form of work with a very large investment of time and energy at Ocean Park, our most used park in PKA. Ocean Park Sittum and walkways/railings have all been power washed and stained. The parking lot was repaired with fresh asphalt at the entrance and in a few parking spaces. It was then re-sealed and re-striped. Moreover, an addition of a Golf Cart only parking section will make it easier to access on busy weekends. Thank you to all of the VOLUNTEERS that worked multiple weekends to get the job done. Special Thank You to David Durham and his company for the electrical work that had to be completed by a licensed electrician.

Brock Basin, Hall Haven, and Ramsey Park have all received attention and more is coming. The swingset(s) at Brock will be getting a face lift and new chains on the sets here and Ramsey.

REMEMBER: If you see something, say something: Contact the office for more information or to inform about an issue at 252-240-1717.

Ocean park

Effective Immediately: The Parking Lot at Ocean Park is open for parking. We have worked hard to make significant improvements throughout the park including repainting the Sittum area and building a special parking area for Golf Carts. Bike Racks are freshly painted and ready for use.

Ocean Park is located at 99 Dogwood Circle and if driving you will need a gate card to enter and you must be a resident/guest of a dues paying member of PKA. We maintain a reciprocal relationship with PIKSCO so our cards work at each park.

ANY BUILDING or CONSTRUCTION THAT YOU ARE CONTEMPLATING AT YOUR PROPERTY, YOU MUST GET APPROVAL FROM THE HOA AND OBTAIN A PERMIT FROM THE TOWN'S BUILDING INSPECTOR. IF IN DOUBT ABOUT ANYTHING, CALL THE TOWN AND PKA, INC. THIS REQUIREMENT INCLUDES ORIGINAL CONSTRUCTION, ADDITIONS TO YOUR HOME, DECKS, FENCES, SEAWALL, DOCK, BOAT LIFT, TREE CUTTING, DRIVEWAY WORK, LANDSCAPING, SWIMMING POOLS, ETC.

Please see Covenants.

Who We Are: Pine Knoll Association, Inc., is a non-profit corporation responsible for the overall maintenance and operation of all common properties which fall within the residential area known as Pine Knoll Shores Subdivision. Currently, our Association maintains five parks, two marinas with boat ramps, numerous boat docks, and has multiple water access sites. Additionally, PKA partners with the Town of Pine Knoll Shores and CAMA to provide ongoing maintenance for our local canals and waterways.

PKA currently has more than 700 members, many of whom are second homeowners or part-time residents. Our membership meets annually to elect a Board of Directors and to act on other Association business. The Board meets on the second Monday of each month at 9:30 a.m. and meetings are open to all members. Association and Board meeting minutes are posted on this site, as well as current budgets, contact information, and other important items related to PKA membership.

Volunteers are the heart and soul of Pine Knoll Association. They give expertise and elbow grease to a wide range of projects that enhance and protect our outdoor spaces. They work tirelessly to keep our parks safe and enjoyable for everyone who uses them. All members are encouraged to participate in volunteer activities with PKA -- no special skills required--just the desire to pitch in. If you have some time to spare, we would love to hear from you.

PKA is fortunate to be a part of such special Pine Knoll Shores community where residents are committed to maintaining the beauty and integrity of our unique coastal environment. This website is yet another way to provide information and connect us as owners, neighbors, and friends.
